BTSV3 & Super Squishy Spring

This is the 3rd guitar I've added one to and it won't be the last. Look at that ridiculous angle with the stock Bigsby. It works sooo much smoother now. Thanks.

I've had my Epiphone Wildkat for a little over a year. While I love the guitar, the tuning issue has kept me from using the Bigsby as much as I'd like. It was always like a little thorn in my side whenever I played this guitar. I had high hopes when buying your tuning stabilizer! It lived up to them for sure. It was easy to install. I had it in place and with a fresh set of strings in less than an hour. I stretched the strings out and could hear the difference immediately with just a little bit of playing. Sure enough . . . just like your videos . . . the guitar stays in tune great! I'm looking forward to playing my Wildkat even more and getting even more use out of the Bigsby on it!! Great product and great videos!! Great playing too at the end of your Wildkat video, really nice solo and tone!!

The Tuning Stabilizer and Super Squishy Spring arrived today, I installed them today. Awesome, they transformed the B70 Licensed Bigsby into a functional/usable tool. The Stabilizer and Spring is everything that you say it is! THX Chas

BTSV3 and Super Squishy Spring

Put the BTSV3 and squishy spring on my Gretsch center-block G5620T. As a rather unfair test, (since one of them was kinked) I left the existing strings on the guitar. I am happy to report that it stays in tune great. The instrument also feels and seems to sound better as well. Although I already had a Reverend spring on the Bigsby, I put the Brick's SSS on anyway, even though there seemed to be no difference between them when compared off of the guitar. And the Brick's SSS seems a bit smoother. Very happy with these upgrades, makes the Gretsch a joy to play.

I added a BiggsFix to a Gretsch CVT Corvette and the difference was remarkable. I highly recommend this product. It is well made, reasonably priced and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Delivery was prompt and the packaging/instructions were excellent.

BiggsFix Tuning Stabilizer V3 (Version 3) for Bigsby "Licensed" B50 Chrome/Nickel Hardware

I have always been lucky with tension bar Bigsbys before, but when I bought a used Eastwood “Supro” Dual Tone with an aftermarket B50 already installed I had trouble keeping the guitar in tune with any use of the wiggle stick. You see, when the Bigsby was installed, the tech screwed it down about a 1/2 inch too close to the bridge. With too little distance between the Bigsby and the bridge, the string’s break angle was too severe, and the strings would never go back to where they started from if I used the vibrato. Enter the Brick’s Biggs Fix tuning stabilizer. I had heard many rave reviews on the Gretsch forum from satisfied folks, and decided to give it a try. It works just as advertised! The Bigsby feels almost just like the non-tension bar Bigsbys on my Hollowbodies. If anyone is going mad fighting with their B5 or B7 Bigsbys to stay in tune. Give this fix a try. Also, order yourself a squishy spring while your at it. I have 5 of them!

Super Squishy Spring and Sealed Bearing Roller

All my Bigsby-equiped guitars have a SSS, and the B-5's and B-7's have also a Sealed Bearing front rollers. Installing a Bigsby on a new guitar project means at least SSS or SSS + SBR depending on the Bigsby model. Period.

Tuning Stabilizer BTSV3 and Super Squishy Spring on Epiphone Wildkat

I am so pleased with the results after modifying the vibrato assembly on the Epiphone Wildkat Royale with the BiggsFix system. My guitar stays in tune much much better and the vibrato is now actually usable and sounds great! I added the super squishy spring to the order and I’m glad I did. Thanks so much for making this system!

Tuning Stabilizer BTSV3 and Super Squishy Spring on Gretsch G5655TG

It’s been a couple weeks since my purchase and it’s safe to say at this point that this is simply an amazing product. I put it on my Gretsch G5655TG, which has a licensed B70, and I’ve had zero issues with tuning since…and that’s without replacing the tune-o-matic, which was going to be my next step, however I don’t feel the need to do so anymore, as the V3 has solved all of my tuning issues. This in conjunction with a properly cut nut and well-lubed components make for a truly awesome playing experience, and the enjoyment I expected out of a Gretsch in the first place. The spring replacement was well worth it as well, and makes the Bigsby just feel much better in general. Thank you for making such a great product, as well as having awesome customer service!

Tuning Stabilizer BTSV3 on Gretsch Electromatic

I bought the V3 for my Gretsch Electromatic Jet. It would not hold a tune. I was ready to get rid of it, but I decided to order the V3. I’m glad I did. I works like charm! I recommend that you remove the Bigsby before installing it so you don’t scratch the guitar.

Tuning Stabilizer BTSV3 on Gretsch GT5230T

Received and installed the tuning stabilizer (v3) today for my Gretsch GT5230T and – together with a graphite nut – it works like a charm! No tuning issues whatsoever, even after really manhandling the bigsby. Well worth the wait (to import it to the Netherlands) and easy to install.

Tuning Stabilizer BTSV3 for Epi Wildkat

Just imported V3 for my Epiphone Wildkat to UK. Already had a roller bridge and a graphite nut which did make a difference to tuning stability but went the whole way and bought a V3. Not only did it stay in tune perfectly but the string tensions are a lot slinkier and stayed in the slots of the roller bridge. Fairly easy to install. Many thanks Bill.

Super Squishy Spring and Replacement Roller

The super squishy spring has resulted in a 100+% improvement. I’m new to bigsbys and I only “liked” mine, but now I absolutely love it. It is far more responsive and for me provides an extremely wide range of subtle use…it really is a night and day difference. Before the swap I’d say the Bigsby was likely not a “keeper” and merely was a fun change of pace experiment that I’d eventually move on from. Now it is a permanent part of the family. I purchased the replacement roller to resolve an install issue. I bought a li’l bargain Squire Tele with a Bigsby unit that was installed slightly off (about 3mm too high). The result is that after the high e string crosses the bridge it breaks at a very small angle and as a result it crossed the stock roller across the plastic bushing as opposed to the metal on the roller. Given that the new roller (SKU: SBR-V3) does not have the internal plastic bushings it is a bit longer and the e string now sits on the metal of the roller instead of a plastic bushing. The resulting improvement in string sustain/note quality is substantial. Its also a super quick install…didn’t even have to remove the strings! Also Bill was super helpful, quick and clear on the communication and the gear is top-notch, reasonably priced and the resulting transaction and shipment/delivery on point.

BTSV3 and Super Squishy Spring

Now two of guitars have been saved by these wonderful products. Before I bought a kit for an Epiphone SG I had installed a USA B5 on, and now my Gretsch Corvette with a licensed B50. If you’re having tuning problems on your Bigsby equipped guitars, BUY these parts now. I guarantee you will be blown away by the difference in your guitar. Phenomenal!! You will think you’re playing another guitar! The only other things you might need is a roller bridge, and possibly nut work or replacement, but these products are amazing! Thanks again!

Hi! Received my BricksBiggsFix roller yesterday for my Airline Town & Country Deluxe guitar with a Bigsby B50. You were right. Installation took about 5 minutes and your Youtube on removing the clip ring was really helpful. Piece of cake.. With the stock Bigsby, the guitar would go out of tune immediately. I Used it for recording last night and now it stays pretty much in perfect tune all the time.. thank you for inventing this great and skillfully crafted device! You saved my guitar!

Prompt shipping, received the Bigsby parts today and was able to install the Bar and Spring without removing the strings I had recently put on. All that was necessary was to remove the clips after detensioning strings then slide the old bar out. I removed the screw from one end and then and removed the piece from the asm that you sent me. I also had to loosen the screw at the other end so I could manipulate the asm into place. Then I put the parts into the hole of the Bigsby and rescrewed it together. It works Great! I have about three more to buy for as I get some more cash. Thank you so much for this Product

Nobody wants to spend $500+ on a guitar and have it be a hunk of crap, so I was willing to try just about anything to help with the tuning instability. Simply put, my guitar is usable now! The stability is amazing! Even with new strings on, it held tune through 2 sets straight all while using the Bigsby frequently! It also seemed to have an unintended benefit of improving natural sustain! I highly recommend this product, the price is a small fee to pay for the freedom to use your Bigsby!

This was the best purchasing decision made in 2019. The Biggsfix was installed rather easily and fixed my Bigsby tuning issues. The Wildkat went from a novelty guitar in the corner to a favorite player in under 20 minutes. I thank you for your creation . 5 stars

I own a 2016 Gibson Les Paul ES Goldtop P90 VOS with Bigsby which is a mouthful as well as a pain in the behind. It just will not stay in tune. I changed the tuners to locking tuners. So far so good. I replaced the ABR-1 bridge with an ABM roller bridge that just won’t fit the ABR-1 studs. I ordered a Trapeze Tailpiece which is on backorder from AllParts as a last resort 😉 and I ordered the Tuning Stabilizer from you, which I just fitted along with the original ABR-1 bridge. Guess what? After some David Gilmour stringbending and subtle vibrato it stays in tune at last… So I thank you for making such a ingenius stabilizer 😉 The Gibson Les Paul ES is fun to play but not when it is out of tune every time you touch the Bigsby Handle.

Tuning stabilizer V3 for B50 on Epi Johnny A.

Morning, Bill … MM here reporting back on the BiggsfFix install for the Epi Johnny A. Gotta’ tell ya’ it’s like night and day!!! Easy to install (did a complete re-string and setup since I changed string gauge a bit), and the results are simply amazing. Guitar stays in tune and I can actually use the Bigsby now. I also play Strats and use the trem quite often for subtle effects, so the ability to now use the Bigsby on the Johnny A opens up a new tonal and sonic path for me. I’m really, really pleased with your ingenious improvement to such an inherently flawed design. I’ve attached several pics for your enjoyment and use on your website, if you wish. Thanks again … if the need arises again, I’ll be back!

Tuning stabilizer V3 for B50

Thank you for the great product! I’ve been really putting the new roller to the test on my Reverend Spacehawk…. which is suppose to stay in tune great and it did not. Not at all. Just like in your YT video my guitar would either stay sharp or flat after even the slightest bend. Super frustrating. I’ve been enjoying doing crazy bends without fear of it losing tune. It’s been fantastic.

Tuning stabilizer V3

Just installed two V3 tuning stabilizers on a 2005 and a 2018 Epiphone Wildkat….this is exactly what the doctor ordered…..man, what a difference. What is epiphone thinking with that break angle from hell? For anybody with a Wildkat, installing a roller bridge and a bricksbiggsfix tuning stabilizer is a absolute must. The tuning stabilizer was a breeze to install. Thanks for the quality product and good luck with all your future endeavors.

Got the stabilizer and just installed it! Such a freaking awesome invention! I teach guitar for a living and have been playing for 30 years. This is one of the best inventions EVER! Trust me when I say I’ve seen every new gadget but this thing just works. So cool! I wish you all the best and I’ll be singing your praises to all of my students and people I play with.

Biggsfix for B50

I just wanted to drop a line to you to thank you for making the tuning stabilizer. I cannot believe how much of difference that it has made. It is a literal game changer! I was approaching this as a last resort, and seriously considered selling my Pro Jet in favor of a Duo Jet. I think that I will likely use those funds to get the newer Asian center block jr. and pickup another of these with the squishy spring. I have been playing nonstop and I am the happiest that I have been with this guitar since I purchased it. I hope that more people will find out about this amazing product. Many Blessings to you.

I ordered the biggs fix from you recently, it arrived here in Scotland yesterday. I was having some tuning issues with the B50 bigsby on my Reverend Sensei. Despite having a roller bridge, graphite nut and locking tuners, i was having problems with my strings going sharp after using the bigsby.I did a little research online and found that the problem was the steep break angle behind the bridge. Eventually i found your product but unfortunately it isn’t available here in the UK so i ordered it direct from your website. I’m happy to report that it has completely solved the problem! No tuning instability whatsoever no matter how hard i work the bigsby! What a terrific product that is so simple and so easy to install. It makes me wonder why it isn’t being sold in shops worldwide as i personally think you would sell a shed load of these. Thanks a lot for solving my problem and I’m already recommending your product to guitarists i know here who might be interested. Thanks again

I purchased the Super Squishy Spring for my G5422TG and have to say what an excellent product it is. It arrived a day earlier than expected. What a difference maker for ease and smoothness of operating the Bigsby. A well thought out and design for this improvement. Bill was great in putting up with my emails and the best to deal with. Completely satisfied.

Stabilizer for Epiphone Wildkat and the Squishy Spring

I bought this guitar just two weeks ago and was ready to take it back after the first evening messing around with it. It would not stay in tune at all. Before doing any research, I could tell I did not like the angle of the string over the stock Tune-o-matic bridge. I could see the bridge moving when I used the Bigsby. I knew it wasn’t right. I decided to see if there were any fixes out there. The first one I came across was the roller bridges. I ordered the Schaller Bridge and installed it. I immediately gained some performance but it still wasn’t right at all. It would just not stay in tune. Again, I was going to return the guitar and then I came across a message board where someone said to get Brick’sBiggsFix. I watched the videos and read the reviews and decided to go for it. So I went to order but the stock seemed to be out of stock. So I emailed and I quickly got a response from Bill. The dude wrote me back while on vacation! How cool is that? Once he got back, he contacted me and told me I could order. Which I immediately did. I installed on my guitar tonight and immediately felt like I had a playable guitar. What a difference! In short, I’ll be keeping this guitar now. Additionally, I installed the squishy spring on the Bigsby and was immediately impressed as to how much better and responsive it was as well. All in all, don’t give up on your Epiphone Wildkat. Get ahold of Bill and buy what should have been on the guitar from the beginning. A superior product for sure. I would also strongly suggest you get the squishy spring too. Get yourself a roller bridge and you’ll be happy just like me. Thanks to Bill for being so responsive. If I ever buy another guitar with similar issues, the first place I’m coming to is Brick’sBiggsFix!

BiggsFix Tuning Stabilizer for Bigsby B5, B7 and B12 (Chrome)

I recently purchased the BiggsFix Tuning Stabilizer for Bigsby B5, B7 and B12 (Chrome) for my Bigsby B5 on a 2017 Gibson SG Standard T. The B5 constantly went out of tune prior to the BiggsFix Stabilizer. I tried nut sauce, a higher end nut, better strings, stretching the strings.. anything I could find online to try I did. I love the Bigsby but was going to have to take it off (which would have been a shame – especially since I had drilled holes in the guitar). Then I stumbled upon the BiggsFix on YouTube. Figured I’d give it a try. Right away I could notice a difference tuning the guitar. I have had it on about a week and have hardly needed to tune at all. Great product. I rarely write in review products but for those like me who enjoy the Bigsby but not the tuning issues – give this a try.

Just installed it on my Epiphone Wildkat with a B-70. It was impossible to keep in tune if the vibrato was used. The modification works perfectly, the reduced angle and tension on the strings keeps it in tune and makes the Bigsby smoother in operation. Thanks for a product that works as advertised. The removal of the retaining clip around the roller is a pain unless you have the correct removal tools. Took two of us 10 min using scew drivers etc.

BiggsFix Tuning Stabilizer V3 for Bigsby “Licensed” B50, B70 and B700 (Chrome)

The sales cycle was very smooth. I got all my questions answered in a timely manner. The product arrived in perfect condition and within the expected delivery time. Installation was super easy (once I figured out which tools to get to un-install the original Bigsby bridge). The actual Product (BiggsFix) Tunning stabilizer does an OK Job. Every time I pick up the guitar, all the strings are flat. I still have to re-tune after every song (and sometime during songs) due to the fact that the stabilizer does not fix 100% the ‘going-out-of-tune’ issue… (even if I don’t use the Bigsby Bar). I’ve had a set-up done post BiggsFixx installation (and nut andsaddles fixed too)… still not a perfect solution. It is deffinitely a significant improvement over the original Bigsby I got with the guitar, but it is nowhere near where I’d like it to be. As of today tho’, this is definitely the best solution out there (other than not getting a Bigsby on your guitar).

Biggsfix Tuning Stabilizer and Super Squishy Spring on a Gretsch 5655TG

I've had many guitars with tension roller Bigsbys without a problem. And then along came a Gretsch 5655TG with some nice mods which became my favorite guitar EXCEPT the thing wouldn't stay in tune with the Bigsby. It had a ridiculous amount of break angle. An easy install of the BiggsFix solved everything. Thanks for coming up with an amazing solution. (and don't forget to grab yourself a Squishy Spring or 2 or 3 to put on all your Bigsby equipped guitars - they are well worth the money)

With a BTS-V3 and a squishy spring my Epi Wildkat operates how I always wanted it to. Stays in tune much better and the bar is springy enough to flutter when I hit it. It worked so well I immediately ordered a BTS-5712-VM and another spring for my Mockingbird with a Vibramate mounted B5. Great product!

I have to say I loved this guitar (the look and feel) but I didn’t play it much do to the fact it just wouldn’t stay in tune no matter what I seem to try and then I happened upon the “FIX” looking for a miracle and I found it here!! Now it not only plays like a dream but stays it tune and is one of my current favorite guitars to play. Thanks Bill you are a God Send! Cheers! Bruce

BTSV3 and Super Squishy Spring

I recently acquired an Epiphone Johnny A Custom guitar with a B70 licensed Bigsby. I loved the guitar, but the Bigsby was very tight and unresponsive. In doing my online research about this guitar before purchasing, I noticed in reviews that many players had installed the BiggsFix with excellent results. Well, add me to that group! The BiggsFixx and squishy spring have made a huge difference...the guitar stays in tune much better, and the vibrato arm is now super sensitive to the touch....capable of much subtler moves. I would highly recommend this to anybody with a Bigsby with a tension bar. Excellent product!

Absolutely brilliant! Took me all of 5 minutes to loosen strings, loosen the Bigsby, replace the original roller with the BTS-V2-DE, and restring. Tuning stability is amazing now, even after testing with some fairly aggressive Bigsby spamming. Thank you!

B70 tuning stabilizer V3 & squishy spring

In a world of hype and marketing which, I have fallen victim to dozens of times over 30+ years of being an active guitarist in bands and studio, you sometimes find a rare gem. I have always wanted an Epiphone wildcat, mostly for the P90s and bigsby combo. I finally pulled the trigger last year only to get it home and realize that it would not stay in tune, even if I did not touch the bigsby. I tried different strings, adjustments to the bridge, nothing worked. While searching youtube for answers, most revolved around roller bridges which have their own problems, I found Bill's video. That video for a tuning stabilizer made sense to me, extreme break angle, so simple. I had not played the wildkat at all, it was a useless guitar. I ordered the V3 stabilizer, Bill was very helpful, answered every email. A week later it came in the mail. 5 min after installing I could not believe what I was hearing and seeing on my tuner, perfect pitch even after divebombing the trem bar which, on a Biggs, you would never do. Bills genius effectively gave me a new guitar. Installs in minutes, very well made, and works like a charm. American ingenuity at its very best. As a bonus I bought the squishy spring which further reduced tension on the trem bar making the guitar an absolute pleasure to play. Good people, great company, ridiculously perfect product. Do yourself and your guitar a favor, buy one. I was teetering on trading the guitar, thanks Bill for saving my Kat, I could not be happier.

This is my first guitar with a Bigsby and it had definitely some problems with tuning stability. But after applying the new tension roller it seems to have no issues with keeping in tune at all. Tuning Stabilizer and Squishy Spring for an Epiphone Wildkat Guitar

I was looking on YouTube for modifications to the Bigsby Tremelo on my Epiphone Wildkat Guitar. My problem was the whammy bar was too tight or too loose when it rotated. I came across BiggsFix videos and thought I would give one a try. What a difference. The whammy bar is much more sensitive now and feels much smoother to the touch. The guitar seems to stay in tune better. I mostly do the Ventures style of whammy bar action and not to many dive bombs so the tuning stays right on. After realizing the difference I don't see why Bigsby released this model into production with the problems caused by this lower position tension roller. It really destroys the action of this unit. Brick's unit is a great idea and I take my hat off to him for coming up with it. Thanks for a great idea!!

BiggsFix V3 for Bigsby B70 & Super Squishy Spring for Chrome/Nickel Hardware

Firstly, I ordered the BiggsFix and forgot to order the Super Squishy Spring, so I got charged two lots of shipping fees. My own stupid fault, so I was happy to pay the $8 stupidity penalty. However, the very lovely people at Brick'sBiggsFix refunded the extra $8 shipping fee without even calling me. Right off the bat, great customer service. Already love these guys, and the parts haven't even arrived yet. So the parts arrive, quicker than I was expecting them. So I walk from the mailbox, directly to my guitar to install them. I'm keen, obviously. Installation instructions are simple and clear. The best kind of instruction. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes. My immediate impressions are "wow....that spring makes the tremolo much more useful. Great feel to it now." After the strings had calmed down a bit and I got them all nicely aligned, I started to torture the tremolo a bit to see if this upgrade was working as expected. It takes a little while for the system to get "in the grove", a few deep bends and pulls to iron it all out. Then it holds tune, way, way better than before. You can see the roller turning, unlike being stuck in one position before. Very, very happy indeed. And it just looks better than the original. The hex nut is inset in the housing and the whole look is cleaner. Result!! A suggestion: you guys need to sell your own rolling Tune-o-Matic upgrade. That's the next thing on my list to install. All of this is going onto a Gretsch G2627T Streamilner - an Indonesian made guitar that looks and play great from new, but with careful attention you can take this $500 guitar and make it play and sound like a $5,000 guitar. You just need to swap out a few of the "budget" components (nut & bridge) and listen to those recommending brilliant upgrades like the BiggsFix.

BTS-V2-G

I received my BTS-V2-G and spring in record time to MN. After installation on my Gibson Johnny A the break angle is perfect and the guitar stays in tune with or with out the use of the Bigsby. I am not sure why Gibson designed this guitar the way they did but I suspect they could not use anything other than the B7. Your fix is the perfect solution for this problem and makes the guitar perfectly playable unlike the original configuration. Your product is very high quality and I am glad it is available. Keep up the good work and feel free to use my comments in your reviews.

BiggsFix Tuning Stabilizer V2 fits Bigsby B5, B7 and B12 for Gold Hardware PLUS Super Squishy Spring for Gold Hardware

I purchased BiggsFix parts for my Gibson Custom shop Johnny A Signature guitar, which is without doubt the finest guitar I have ever had the pleasure to play. But it had one big problem - it was a nightmare to keep in tune, regardless of whether I used the Bigsby or not. I bend strings HARD and a LOT and was finding I had to retune between every number - not great for live gigs. I have made several attempts to resolve the tuning issues including using graphite on the nut and bridge and fitting a Sta-Tuned system with microtuners at the bridge end and a string lock at the nut. These all helped - but didn't completely resolve the issues. The BiggsFix has made a massive difference and I now have a guitar that not only sounds superb, but is infinitely more playable! I just wish I had bought this years ago!

Once I again, BricksBiggs has come up with an terrific solution to a Bigsby fundamental flaw. Last week, I installed a BiggsFix V2 tuning stabilizer on a shiny new Gretsch 6229 Sparkle Jet. I bought the guitar knowing that I hate B7s. I have tuning issues with them and they lack the buttery feel of a good old B3. The tuning stabilizer improved the feel of the B7 a lot. It's hard to speak to how much it improved tuning because I added this immediately after purchase but I firmly believe it helps. Today, I installed the Super Squishy Spring. This brought that buttery feel back. By using a taller (1") spring that's made with smaller diameter metal coil, it removes some tension and keeps the arm at a comfortable height. Perfect combination. With these two additions, this B7 feels like the B3s I have on other guitars and I couldn't be happier. Two great, simple, cheap mods. I haven't even had to change strings to try both of these. Just brilliant!
